Building on the success of last year’s excellent Voluntary Sector Awards, The Volunteer Centre Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire hosted this prestigious awards ceremony on 4th October 2017. We actually sold out the The Chesterfield Pomegranate Theatre for this, the fifth awards ceremony.

We were able to bring you a bumper evening of entertainment and celebration, with The Choir at the Royal.

The date for your calendar this year is Wednesday the 3rd October 2018, with a 7.30pm start, at The Pomegranate Theatre.

For this years entertainment we have managed to entice nationally renowned recording artiste Mike Wilton to perform at The Awards. Mike and his band supported The Who on their recent UK tour, so to get Mike to perform a solo set for us is a massive coup. Mike will be traveling the length of the country to be with us and he will performing tracks from his new solo album.

If you know an individual or an organisation who has made an outstanding contribution to volunteering in the area, then now is the time to recognise their achievement’s and nominate them for one of the awards. You can nominate your own organisation, staff member or volunteer for any of the prestigious awards available on the night.
Nominations are open and the closing date for nominations is Friday August 24th 2018.

We are now inviting sponsors for the nine awards at the gala evening in 2018. Leading companies are being asked to sponsor an individual award for a fee of £350. This is a superb opportunity for companies to be involved in the awards which will undoubtedly produce a great deal of publicity.
